If I should die...remembrances for CAPT. Samuel Earl ASHER, USA...who made the ultimate sacrifice!!!
If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance,l may therein comfort you.

We Nam Brothers pause to give a backward glance, and post this remembrance to you , one of the gentle heroes lost to the War in Vietnam :
Slip off that pack. Set it down by the crooked trail. Drop your steel pot alongside. Shed those magazine-laden bandoliers away from your sweat-soaked shirt. Dear Samuel,
For the Gridley High School Posting Project, I would like to take the time to thank you for all of your dedication to our country during the war. Leaving all your belongings and family behind to fight in a war, had to be a hard decision. It was a decision though, that was greatly appreciated. If it wasn’t for people like you, were would our country be today? Thank you for all your sacrifices you had for this country. You will always be remembered as a hero.
