THE WALL OF FACES

Dave and I were best friends at Cass Tech in downtown Detroit. We shared classes, laughs and future plans. We double dated to the Senior Prom at Cobo. While we parted after high school I think we always shared a bit of each other. My children know about Dave and each have visited the Vietnam Memorial and looked for his name. He was a great friend and am sorry he wasn't able to live out his life.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. May you rest in eternal peace.

Cousin David, thinking of you and all others who gave the ultimate of themselves. Yes, after all these years you are still in my thoughts. The date, 4.20, has taken on another personality that many of us enjoy!

This was my great uncle. I never got to know him well but I know he was an amazing man. I was named after him and he will always be apart of our lives even when not in this life.
