Former MIA Lt Col Lawrence G. Evert - - Update from DPAA (Accounted for)
According to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) website at the below link, Former MIA Lt Col Lawrence Gerald Evert was accounted for on 18 December 2001:

As of the latest DPAA update (22 February 2019) Lt Col Evert is one of 1,057 Americans whose remains were recovered in Southeast Asia from the Vietnam War. There are 1,589 Americans still MIA in that area from that war.

On the date of his loss, 8 November 1967, Evert was a Captain flying an F-105D Thunderchief. While in MIA status, the U.S. Air Force promoted him with his contemporaries to Major and then Lieutenant Colonel.

Former MIA Lt Col Lawrence Gerald Evert has his name chiseled into one of the "Courts of the Missing" at the Honolulu Memorial in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (the "Punchbowl") on the island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii.
