My mother, Nita Gay Bailey, (Kilgore), Robert C. told me that you were first cousins. She also related that you were loved by your family, classmates, and the Mullinville, Kansas, community. May you rest in peace and may your family live as an honorable symbol for your most worthy life.

Don, as my OCS classmate, and Ranger Buddy, you'll always be remembered as one of the most dedicated Army Officers I had the opportunity to meet and serve with in my 22 years of service. You will be remembered as one of the greatest as long as I live. We had many good times, and our share of the hard time, but never a time we that we did not have the support of each other. Rest in peace my friend.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us….
