Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT Ronald Kazuo Asada, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

My friend

Ron and I were bunk mates in Vietnam. He had the top and I had the bottom. The 75 recoilless went thru our bunks. I was working that night so I was not in the barracks. I got back just in time to see Ron loaded on a stretcher. I think of him so often. A terrible loss.

To finally say farewell

Ron, I met you at Keesler AFB before we were sent to Nam and became good friends. I was in the barracks next to yours when you were hit. I never got to see you again. I just want to say I miss you and your passing realy affected me. I will remember you till the day I die. Good Bye friend.
