Far Beyond the Wall

FAR BEYOND THE WALL

A LIFETIME OF REMEMBERING
A LIFETIME OF PRIDE
I'M REMEMBERING A SOLDIER
WHO GALLANTLY DIED
ON A FOREIGN BATTLEFIELD
THOUSANDS OF MILES
FROM HIS HOMELAND.
MANY LIVES WERE SAVED BY
THIS "PILOT IN COMMAND".

OUR FREEDOM WAS PROTECTED
AND OUR FLAG HELD HIGH
FOR DEMOCRACY
SO OTHERS WOULD NOT DIE.

HIS NAME IS ETCHED IN BLACK GRANITE
FOR THE WORLD TO SEE.
HIS SPIRIT LIVES ON IN THE HEARTS
OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

LET US NOT FORGET, NO NEVER,
OUR SOLDIERS' SACRIFICE,
THEIR LOVE OF COUNTRY,
AND "FREEDOM FOR ALL"!
THEIR BRIGHT AND SHINING
PATRIOT FACES
THAT SEE FAR BEYOND THE "WALL".
Written for you beloved Timmy, by Jane

With Honor and Respect

You paid the ultimate sacrifice for your country and your unit the 173rd AHC which my husband served in and knew you.
How do you thank someone who died for you, well my husband has survivors guilt so it is difficult for him. For me all I can say is I thank you for your duty to this fine country and your sarifice that has not been forgotten.
Thank you with much love and respect,
A passionate about Patriotism and Veterans gal..
