Timmy First Childhood Boyfriend
Timmy, I have many fond memories of us growing up at Bonny Oaks together. You were my first childhood sweetheart. I still go to Forest Hills every Memorial Day and put a flag on your grave. Will always remember you as long as I am alive. Mary Ann

Honoring Timothy Artman
Was driving by Timothy H. Artman park today when it caught my attention. I've driven by every week for a year but never stopped to look at the name. Decided to Google the name and found this site and others talking about his life. To think that 50 years ago Timothy Artman was taken from us. I hope to find a way to honor him aside from just posting him on my Instagram (@beardedoliver) or even writing this. If anyone has any ideas on how we can honor him, let's do something to keep his legacy going.

CWO's Escort Officer
I was the Escort Officer assigned to bring CWO Timothy Artman back to Hialegh, Fla. in January, 1968. I had recently finished my own tour in Vietnam with the HQ Co, 3rd Brigade,9th Infantry Division initially in Dong Tam and then Tan Ann in 11/1967,(both near Long Ann Providence) and was stationed at Ft. Benning when the assignment came. Helicopter Pilots are a brave bunch of red blooded Americans, and it was indeed a high honor to have been CWO Artman's Escort Officer for his final flight home.
I was at the Vietnam Memorial on 16 July 2018 and my grandson traced CWO Timothy Artman's name. He will never forget this moment. "Only the good die young."
