Thank you PFC Esch

Although we never met personally, I want to thank you Frank Ryan Esch, for your courageous and valiant service, faithful contribution, and your most holy sacrifice given to this great country of ours!

Your Spirit is alive--and strong, therefore Marine, you shall never be forgotten, nor has your death been in vain!

Again, thank you PFC Frank Ryan Esch, for a job well done!

My High School friend and boot camp buddy.

Frank and I entered the Marines together. We had similar experiences in high school and decided that since everyone else around us knew what they wanted to do with the rest of their lives, we would just join the Marines until we, too, could figure it out. Of the four of us who joined at the same time, I am the only one still living and I miss talking with, and seeing my friends from those days. I received word that Frank was killed when I was in Dong Ha, near the DMZ, and could not do anything about it. Frank would have gone on and done good things with his life, I am sure. I miss his enthusiasm and would like to have watched him change and grow. He was a good Marine and I will always count him as a great friend. He should not have died, but serving his country was important to him.
