Thank You

Thank you all for the comments. Teresa passed away 10/11/2011. I am her son, and I would like to thank everyone for the stories. Many memories are lost along the years, so these bits offer insight to forgotten times.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear CPL Gregory Kenneth Arthur, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Remember

Teresa,
I went to grade school and HS with your brother Greg. Greg, I and several fellows in our hood ran together for many years. I remember you when you were about seven or eight years old.
I served in Vietnam as a Operation Specialist from 65-67, in the Navy on a Guided Missile Destroyer. I was in the Navy from 1963 to 1969.
I lived on Marshall Street back then. I now live in Broken Arrow, OK. Greg was three months younger than me.
