Miss You Brother

Remember last night at Rucker after Grad, two walking dui trying to drive your Healey back to the barracks from the O-Club. You had gas & brake - I had steering wheel and handbrake. Don't think we made it out of first gear. Still think about you and I driving our Healeys around trying to impress the southern bells during flight school.

Thank You

Dear WO Loren Engstrom,
Thank you for your service as an Utility & Light Cargo Single Rotor Helicopter Pilot. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear WO Loren Eugene Engstrom, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Not forgotten

We never met but I learned of you after I returned home from 'Nam. Not long after I got home I started dating Marie (your former brother-in-law,John's little sister). I also met your sister Carol and heard all about you. I know how much you were loved and missed by your family. It also occured to me that you and I were both in the Army in 'Nam approximately the same time. We were also very close in age. You were killed a month before I returned home and only a few days after my 24th birthday. I was lucky enough to return home and get on with my life. You weren't as lucky but know that you are not forgotten after all these years. Marie and I eventually married and we have three grown sons now. Your sacrifice and the sacrifice of so many others during that period of time are not forgotten. You are still in our hearts and thoughts.

Joe and Marie Vallecorsa
