Thank you and god bless

We have been learning about the Vietnam war in school, and I'm writing you this letter to thank you for the ultimate sacrifice you made for our country. In class we watched a video called "Letters Home from Vietnam", and I can honestly say that every time I watched it, I had to struggle to keep the tears back. Every day I left class feeling worse and worse. I can't imagine how you must have felt while you were risking your life in Vietnam. You gave everything you had for our country and the well being of your generation, as well as mine. For that, you deserve all the thanks in the world. My mom was friends with your sister when they were in high school, and she said you were one of the nicest people she ever met. You'll always be remembered as a hero to everyone because of the great sacrifice you make. Thank you, and God Bless.

Thank You

I am a senior at Gridley High school in rural central IL. I am posting remembrances for fallen soldiers that participated in the Vietnam War for a class posting project. I would like to thank you for your honor that you showed during the war time. I hope all Americans understand what you have done for them. My dad almost died in the war while stepping on a land mine and I am thankful that he is here today. Your friends and family members should be proud of your accomplishments and for giving it your all. Thank you once again for the ultimate sacrifice that you gave to this country.

Sincerely,
Ben. J
