A country boy from Elyria, OH gave his life for his country on 10/31/1968. What a great guy! I remember you today (53 years after your death) like it was yesterday. Audie Murphy had nothing on you! Your memory lives with me each and every day! You were a hero on that day and will always be one.

It was 52 years ago today when you gave your life in the miserable jungles of Vietnam. I was with you then and I remain thinking of you now. I love you brother Ray!

Ray. 10/31/1968 is a date I can never forget! Halloween Day (52 years ago) in the God forsaken jungles of Vietnam. I always say and have told my shrink many times, it should have been me, rather than you to take that shot. As long as I am alive I will remember you as though we were hanging out in the rear together. I love you brother Ray!
