Remembrance of "Sparky" Alwin Ellis, Jr

10/7/2018 will be the 51st anniversary of your courageous death. Although we were cousins, until we were 7 or 8 we lived very close and played together frequently. Our mothers had lived together and worked together as welders on the Victory ships at the Kaiser Shipyard in Portland. You were always attentive to your mother and a great friend to me. Your mother's grief of your death was tragic, but understandable. I will not forget your sacrifice and will forever admire your courage. Rest IN Peace.
