honoring you...

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. In the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. May you rest in eternal peace.

Can't Wait To See You

Uncle Kenny, I was 3 when you died. I remember the way my daddy cried and I remember seeing a white wrapped mummy in a casket as somebody held me up to look in. I was just a small child, but I remember how much you were loved, and now that I am an adult, married, with kids and grandkids...I really miss getting to know you and have you in my life. I hope I can meet you in Heaven. Say hi to my dad. I bet you all are having a big family reunion up there. Can't wait to meet baby Earl either. Life is strange, but God is kind and Love is a healer.
