There is too much to say, but a piece of it is here. Know that you are remembered, that you are loved, and that you are not forgotten.
I say I love you now, though as young men we did not know how to say it then, dear brother.

Although we never met personally, I want to thank you Gary Eugene Elford, for your courageous and valiant service, faithful contribution, and your most holy sacrifice given to this great country of ours!

Your Spirit is alive--and strong, therefore Marine, you shall never be forgotten, nor has your death been in vain!

Again, thank you PFC Gary Eugene Elford, for a job well done!

Thank you for serving in Vietnam. You played a part in the defense for our freedom and liberty. You will never be forgotten for your courage. I am doing this for a project at Gridley High School in Gridley, Illinois.
