A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Ronnie I don't know why but I will always remember this date for the rest of my life. Like I have said in previous remembrances I wish that you had more time in country so we could get to know each other. You would come to the motor pool to check out your 5 ton dump truck and I would hand you the log book, then you would return it back to me at the end of your day. 50+ years now, and my mind is forgetting some things about Viet Nam but I will never forget this day. RIP my forever friend

I served with Ronnie in Vietnam and was on the Convoy when he was hit. He was a good buddy and miss him everyday.
