Happy Birthday Dad

My dad would have been 93 years old today and hopefully still vital and as intellectually sharp as he was when I last saw him in 1968 had he survived Vietnam. He was a man of extraordinary intelligence who would have accomplished so much more in life had he lived. I would like to imagine that mom and dad would have bought a pied-a-terre in Paris and spent their retirement years between France and the US. But he chose to serve his country like the other heroes whose names are on this wall.
