My Dear Friend and Brother
You are a true hero Ray, to me and many other people who love you and miss you dearly. I'll never forget when you told me that you were joining the service to go fight in The Nam. I was shocked and afraid because I knew the kind of guy you were. Full tilt, pedal-to-the metal, no holds barred. That was you my friend! I was at the wall last year with a bunch of bikers to honor you and the other names on the wall and I just want you to know that I will never forget you and our friendship. Semper fi!

Remembering An American Hero
Dear LCPL Ray Arnett Jr, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
