do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Thank You

Dear PFC Edward Dull,
Thank you for your service as an Indirect Fire Infantryman. Independence Day is approaching, and we remember your sacrifice. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Your family never forgets...

Thank you, cousin Eddie, for your service. It's because of you & your sacrifice that we enjoy our American freedoms. I have laid my hand on your name on the Wall in DC many times, said a prayer for your peace and thanked you for your service. I was only 4 when you died but I remember my mom (your first cousin, Dolores Beebe) telling me you had gone to Heaven fighting for us - and how hard and long I cried. You weren't satisfied being behind the lines and wanted to move closer to the front and do what you were trained to do. Soon after, you died from a sniper's bullet and gave the ultimate sacrifice for your country. Just know you are never forgotten, your life & your sacrifice lives on, you are with your parents - my Uncle Harold & Aunt Stella - in Heaven, and I look forward to the day I can shake your hand personally and hug you. We love you, Eddie Dull! ~ Nancy Riedel (second cousin) and Dolores Beebe Riedel (first cousin)
