Here's to you

…here’s to you, James Patrick Duffy…thanks for your service- I didn’t know you…I was just a kid shooting hoops at St. Ann’s while you were fighting for my freedom…I’m sorry that most of your good Irish luck finally ran out- I know a bit about that… but perhaps you’d managed to save just enough of it to board the upward-bound train…and maybe you’re upstairs now, holdin’ a place at the bar for those of us with a little luck left ourselves…perhaps I’ll meet you there someday and we can swap stories about buckeyes and sycamores…

With Loving Memories

Even tho I was very young when my brother passed. I have memories that will last a life time. He is missed dearly. I had been contacted by Vietnam Vet this past June 1998. I was very hard for him to locate some family member as we no longer live in Brunswick, but where there is a will there is a way! He wanted to meet with me to talk about my brother. I agreed and he flew in from AZ at the end of June. My sister flew in from Chicago also to be with me. After 29 years it turned into yesterday. He was very kind and sincere. Explained to me what had happened the day my bother was killed. You see he was with him...My heart goes out to all Vietnam Vets and their famlies. I see how it has effected other people and my own family. I hope I was able to help him with his closure.

Pat you are always in my heart and my thoughts of what life would of been like with you here.
Love your Sister Rita Duffy~Eville
