Mr. & Mrs. Armstrong were our neighbors in Lakewood, Tn. for a long time. Good family. Wanted to pay my respects for their son.

James, you will never be forgotten by your brothers you served with in nam. Just about every time we talk to each other your name comes up. You were one of the best men I have ever known, I am so glad to have served with you. I only wish you could have come back with us. Just always know you will always be remembered by your brothers from delta company 3rd batallion 47th infantry ninth infantry division first platoon. Rest in peace brother. BOBBY MERCK SHELBY NC

Dear SGT James Harold Armstrong, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
