Ambush on 689
N3 Dudley was one of about 18 men KIA on 689. He was part of a combined force from India and Lima Companies, 3rd Bn 26th Marines, who were involved in an attempt to rescue some Marines from Combined Action Company Oscar who had been ambushed earlier that day, The entire story and pictures are posted on Google sites at https://sites.google.com/site/usmccaposcar/in-memoriam If any survivors or family members wish to contact me with more details about him or the other men who were KIA or WIA at this battle, I would be grateful.
