Seldom has a day passed in 55 years that I have not thought of Corporal Douglas. He was the best of America, a solid Marine and excellent squad leader. I am thankful I had the opportunity to serve with him. His memory lives!

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
