Thank you for all you did

SGT Dotter, sir
You have my upmost respect and gratitude. Thank you for all you have sacrificed, thank you for being the man you were. I hear stories about you and how I wish I could've met you. You have inspired me to be as courage's as you were. You have inspired me through stories and the legacy you leave behind. I know you were a great man, and I know you would've been a great grandpa to me. Everyone tells me I am your spitting image. You will always have my thanks and gratitude, as you inspired me to join the army myself. I will try to follow through your footsteps through out my military career. I hope one day I will be able to shake your hand and hear those stories from you, yourself. Till that day, I will remember all you've done.
