NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die

POSTED BY: phil bertoni - Sean's high school math teacher at Daniel Murphy HS

A super high school mathematics student of mine at Daniel Murphy Catholic HS in LA

I remember Sean well and this was so very long ago...during my first years of teaching (1965-1968). He was one of my favorite students - so very polite, respectful and considerate. He was a real pleaser, both in and out of the classroom. A new teacher could not ask for more! I believe that Sean told me once that he was thinking about entering the seminary and studying to become a Catholic Priest. I have spoken often of him to my friends, peers, family, students and acquaintances over the years. I will pray for him always.
