Thank You

Dear WO Paul Dolik,
Thank you for your service as an Attack Helicopter Pilot. Yesterday was Memorial Day, and we remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Wrestling

Paul was the heavyweight of the Palatine Wrestling Team....I was the Head Coach and often "work-out partner for Paul...a couple quick thoughts....we had just lost a wrestling match and "we coaches" were sitting in the coaches room pouting.....Paul stepped in and said..."OK Guys, "back to the "drawing board".....He was more squared away than us "adults"....We were wrestling Glen Brook South and the match came down to the heavyweight match......Paul won by a fall....I was all exciting....ran on to the mat and slipped to the mat in the middle of the two big sweaty heavyweights...The opposing coach was a guy that I had coached in Iowa and a college teammate was in attendance.....they never let me forget it.....I have a poster on my wall painted by a former wrestler of mine at Southern Oregon...It is "VIETNAM....A TRIBUTE" painted by Chris Hopkins who was one of my wrestlers at Southern Oregon College. .Chris presented the "Tribute" to President George Bush One a Washing DC.......attached to the .artwork is a Personal Profile of Paul who died in Viet Nam ...shot down in a helicopter that he piloted at age 21 in 2/23/70....I have visited the "Traveling Wall" locally in White City , Oregon...I also have pictures of the wall and etchings of 'PAUL DOLIK" on the wall in my office..
