remembering chicky

I used to hang around with Chicky as a teenager, he was in my crowd. I at one time had a terrible crush on him because I still remember a loose leaf book I owned with "Chicky & Kate" written all over it!
I moved away after graduation and lost touch with most of the crowd, but someone did inform me when the sad day occurred. I have been to the wall in DC and traced his name. I'll never forget him.

Brother's Reflections

My brother, Charles E. Diamond, was nicknamed Chick. He taught me how to ride a bike, throw a baseball, and appreciate the Beatles. He took me to my first major league baseball game. As the years slip by, what remains is the impression of kindness and generosity. Chick was a good and happy soul who tried to do his best for the people he loved. He changed the world for the good in the little time he lived here. When he was killed, I was 12 years old. It’s nearly 30 years later and I still miss him greatly. I always will.
