My Friend Louis

Louis was a Crew Chief on one of the Medevacs assigned to
A Company 15th Med, when he was killed by antiaircraft fire. We became friends as we were both from Northern California. Louis was the only KIA at the fourteen months I was with A Company 15th Medical Battalion 1st Calvary, Tay Ninh. I still think of him and our friendship.

High school friend

Scott and I went to high school together. He was a really nice guy. Funny, polite
and a really good guy. I remember always laughing when we were together. Thank you Scott. Unbelievable

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP5 Louis Scott Di Bari, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

This man was my blood father.

Although I never got to meet him, I am his true but forgotten blood son.
Our paths regretabley never crossed, yet I am proud of this man and the hero that he became during his short life.
I always dream that I got to know him.
