Remembering An American Hero
Dear SFC Richard Lester Dennis, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

Just passing through
I was just passing through your neck of the woods last Aug. (2006) and while visiting the Greenwood cemetey in Kellogg ID I found your grave there and I thought it only fitting that I should post a photo of it here for others to see and know of your noble sacrifice for our great country.
Though I never met you in life all the same, now that I have seen your grave I shall never forget you, I shall be placing a flag on your grave everytime I'm in the Kellogg ID area.
Sir I salute you!
It is for us the living to remember and honour all those who gave up all their tomorrows for all our todays.
Lest we forget.

John (50) Joe (42) and I (49) are all older now than you were in Vietnam at 38. How can that be!?
Wasn't it just the other day, we were elementary and junior high Army brats, stationed at James Connelly AirForce Base in Waco, Texas, waiting for you to make it back home. We still feel like kids when we think of you, we just don't cry as much. I still listen to your Jimmie Rodgers Records, but I listen on CD and just look at the album covers. You have quite a valuable collection. Say hello to your Mom, Grandma Jo. I hope it comforts you to have her laying near you and Uncle Jim there in Kellogg, Idaho.
