Final Mission of PFC William M. Denhoff
PFC William M. Denhoff was a rifleman assigned to D Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines. On April 29, 1966, PFC Denhoff was on patrol with his unit in Quang Nam Province, RVN, when he was struck by sniper fire in the chest. He was evacuated to the Naval Hospital in Da Nang where he succumbed to his wound five days later on May 4, 1966.

Hello Bill,
We didn't know each other very well, but I do remember you from school. It seems like many from Seattle died in that province. You got an early start in Vietnam. I was still in boot. I did 13 months in Korea and 11 months in Vietnam.
Anyway, October 3rd will be our 50 year reunion. I hope you are there in spirit so we can toast you and all of the rest of our fallen brothers.
