do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush

I am not there. I did not die.

Thank You
Dear Sp4 George Dekker,
Thank you for your service as a Field Artillery Surveyor. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

searching for relatives
Bill and I arrived at our unit (7/11 Artillery) on the same day and we were both artillery surveyors. We became best of friends. When he was killed part of me left with him. I was finally able to locate his gravesite and visit the cemetery last fall on a visit to California. It was an emotional visit that brought me some closure, but I still feel a strong need to visit with any relatives that are still living.Deen R. Brecht, Golden Valley, North Dakota, 701-983-4699. Thanks.
