50 Years
50 years ago you gave it all
while we went on to our fall
of life you never saw
as we approach our final days
we think of you - as we'll join your place

thought of this month
Tom Dean came to Northland College, Ashland, wisconsin, during his time away from Knox College and became a good friend and fellow "Animal," our intramural football team. I drove him back to Knox when he returned there, and his memory led me to suggest Knox to my daughter. She graduated from there in 2008 and just stopped there on a visit this Labor Day weekend. As she always does, she visited Tom's gravesite and shared some champagne with him. My survival of Vietnam is eternally tempered by his loss.

We were Neighbors...
Although I never met you, we were neighbors..My Brother Sgt Howard Bruckner was killed in Vietnam 8/8/69.he is here in Scarsdale also. We actually lived in Eastchester, but had a Scarsdale Address..Ek Prengel, posted a remembrance and told me about you..Sounds like you were another great guy who's life was way to short.. You didn't die a senseless death, you died for our country. You are a hero...You will never be forgotten..
