Remembering An American Hero

Dear SSGT Joe Robert De Bault, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

We Remember

When my brother, sister-in-law, and I went to the Vietnam wall and rubbed your name, it was so moving, quite, and peaceful. But in thinking what all you and others suffered giving your young lives for our freedom is heartbreaking. We thank you and may you rest in peace. With Love and wish we could have known you better.

Your DeBault cousins:
Larry, Martha Ann, John, Joan, Ray, and Kathleen.

Never forgotten

Joe was my Sister's husband. I was 8 yrs of age when he made the ultimate sacrifice for his country and I still recall that day when they came to deliver the tragic news. Joe, your sacrifice will never be forgotten and thank you for your courage and love.

With Love and affection on behalf of the Villarreal family.

Elizabeth
