Chidhood Friend
I grew up across the street from Eddie in Albuquerque. My parents moved when I was ten and as I was a few years younger than Eddie I never heard from him until I read about his death in the local newspaper. I was to join the Marine Corps myself only two years later and went to Viet Nam. His image never left my mind while I was in boot camp and Viet Nam and by the Grace of God I survived.I just want his relatives to know that there is someone else out there that will remember Eddie as long as I live.
