A Coatesville man was killed in
Vietnam yesterday when the mili-
tary vehicle in which he was
a
passenger struck a land mine.
William J. Davidson, 20, the
son of Mr. and Mrs. William J.
Davidson of Fifth Ave., reported-
ly died at 12:30 p.m. yesterday.
Davidson was married to the
former Dorothy Zittle of 119
Chestnut St., Downingtown. They
had a ten week old daughter.
He was stationed with the 9th
Infantry Division. His tour of
duty would have been up in 57
days.
A 1965 graduate of Scott High
School, he worked for Gindy
Manufacturing Company until he
entered the service.

Sp/4 William J. Davidson Jr., 20, 0f 19 Chestnut st., Downingtown, Chester county (PA).
Sp/4 Davidson, a 1965 graduate of Scott High School, Coatesville, was in a military vehicle when it struck a land mine, killing all occupants.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Davidson, of Coatesville. He also leaves his wife, the former Dorothy M. Zittle, of Downingtown, and a 10-week-old daughter.
