A Good Friend

Gary David and I traveled to our hometowns, together from FT. Devens, prior to going to Korea in 1968. I visited his family for a few days in Miami. Gary came to my hometown in Groves, Tx prior to our shipping out to the 177th ASA Co. in Pyong Taek, Korea. We had a lot of good times together. He visited me in Taiwan. I visited with him in Vietnam. I was at the 175th Radio Research, in Vietnam, when I was informed of his death. I'll miss him forever.

To My Brother With Love

The past 32 years have been hard, but nothing compares to last week because now I know it is final-you are home. When we were very young I looked after and took care of you. As we grew older our roles reversed and you became very protective of me. I cannot find the words to express how much I've missed you in my life and how very proud of you I am. There has hardly been a day go by during the past 32 years that sometime during the day I have not thought of you. I know that when it is my time you will be there waiting to take care of me. I love you.
