FRANK ANDRISANO, JR. 30 July 1947 - 19 November 1967
Cpl. Frank Andrisano, who was cited for bravery in Vietnam, was killed in action while his patrol was under heavy enemy fire in Quang Ngai. The Marine corporal had been awarded the Navy Medal of Valor for acts of bravery that saved several men in his outfit during an attack by the Viet Cong near the village of Thanh Hieu in Quang Province. Then a private, he was a member of a search and destroy company taking part in a mission known as Operation DeSoto.

I KNEW HIM FOR ONLY A SHORT TIME, BUT WILL REMEMBER HIM FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.
I SERVED WITH FRANK WITH THE 2nd SHORE PARTY BN. 1st MARINE DIV. WE WERE BOTH AWARDED THE NAVY COMMENDATION MEDAL W/V FROM OPERRATION DeSoto EARLY IN OUR TOUR.
