Brother
Burt, I also was a part of Co. D, 2/39th, 9th Inf Division. I remember you very well as
Delta 6 Oscar (the company commanders radio operator) a very dedicated "Right hand" to our CO. I remember, as if yesterday, hearing over the radio that "Delta 6 Oscar has been hit and has expired, All of our hearts sank. Long time ago but God Bless you Burt. I was the 5th squad leader that day 5/6/69 , I was also hit that day, and dusted off, long time in the hospital and still here.

A Friend Never Forgets
Burton, I am a Marine Corps Vietnam veteran. A friend of ours, John Kolb, upon learning that I was going to pay my respects at The Wall, asked if I would look you up and say a prayer. I am going to do as requested and provide John a rubbing of your name. I will say that prayer not only for you, but for all of our "Brothers," who didn't make it back to The World and for those who returned and live with our memories of the Vietnam War. Semper Fi
