I live in his hometown
I never knew Lt. Daley. I live in Brewster, MA. My husband, who grew up in Brewster, remembers hearing about his death when he was a young boy. The Daleys went to the same church as my husband's family. There is a memorial in front of the Town Hall in honor of Lt. Daley. I have taken my ten year old son there and explained to him about how love of country can sometimes mean sacrifice for your country. Thank you, Lt. Daley, for your sacrifice for us.
