APRIL 1, 1969

Larry, No one knows why you had to die that day. 20 seconds earlier we were laughing about you going home in 30 days. The Purple Heart I have today, is a memory that is still blurred, because after all of these years I still ask why you and not me that day. I still call your mom every April 1st to let her know you are and will always be remembered by those Marines who fought with you on 4/1/69.
