George
You bunked next to me at Corps School. Any free time you were always studying or reading a book. After Corps School I lost track of you. In 1980 I was at The Wall for the first time. Something told me to look up your name. Needless to say, well you know. I was too shocked to get a rubbing. A few years later my daughter was in DC on business and she brought a rubbing of your name to me, which I have to this day. Miss you brother.

High School Buddy and Vietnam Vet
George I remember you from High School, you were my Buddy. I lost track of you in1966. I went to Vietnam in 1967, Army. I remember you as the brains of the group. You were the best. I felt so bad when I found out about your death. I am at loss for words. See you on the other side, and thank you for your service, you gave all. Your old buddy Bob Spicher

Remembering An American Hero
Dear HM3 George Richard Cuthbert, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
