my best friend

Phillip and I were in Tenn together at the Crash Rescue school and we hit it off once we met. After Christmas Phillip came out to California and stayed with me and my family before we shipped out to VM. Once we got in-country He went to Marble Mtn and I to Chu Lai. We were going to sail the world together once we got out, but sadly that did not happen. When I found out what happened to him I just broke down a cried. After I got home and married we named our son after him. When my son was 13 years old his school class spent a week in Washington DC. He brought back an itching of Phillips name from the wall at the VM memorial. To this day I think of him and drink a toast to him every Veterans day.
