NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die

A Friend Is Missed

I was stationed in Germany when I read about your passing. It was a troubled day for me. I remembered back to seeing you across the street, getting ready to leave for school or working in the yard on weekends. You loved golf and spent all your time at the area golf courses doing what ever you needed to get in a little playing time. i am positive you would have made it on some of the tours in pro-golf due to your dedication. The old home sites are run down but part of you is still there. We will always remember you, the sacrifice, the hope lost, your gone but not forgoten........ dean welch, vietnam 5/69-4/70
