A Friend
Many years have past from the time I first met Curt at Montana State University. We became friends and shared many experiences together. Curt and his family sacrificed life and liberty for their country. The Ando name is proud reminder of what an America is.
Curt touched the hearts of everyone he met and he continues to elicit a proud memory in this friend. Another friend of Curt’s, Tom Christie, Silver Star and Bronze Star, Vietnam veteran, passed away in December 2007. Tom and Curt are missed but never forgotten.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

If I should die...remembrances for PFC Curits Tadashi ANDO, USMC...Powell's bravest hero, ever!!!!!!
If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine....and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.
