God bless you Mark!
Dear Mark, You are thought of and ?? loved by all your family - but you know that already...in Heaven. You already know why your time on this good earth was so short .... something I still can't grasp. But your Mom told me that though "Death may take the body, but it cannot take their life. Their life lives on forever in our memories" ? You are missed. Please hug all the family that have passed on & joined you...love, your cousin Marilyn

A Great American
We lived down the street from the Anderson family, but I was too young
to know Mark personally.
My strongest memory was the day Mrs. Anderson came to our house with a
photograph of Mark in full uniform. From this photo, my mother Gloria Welker,
produced a magnificent painting of Mark for his mother and family.
It's been almost 50 years now, but I can never forget that day.
As a child I did not know what to say, so I would like to now say this for Mark and the Anderson family: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Memmorial Day 2015 Special day for Special people
Andy and I went through boot camp together at Parris Island in 1967. Platoon 392. We both made PFC out of boot camp. We became good friends right away. Everytime I think of Andy ( that is what we called him ) I see him smiling. He was always kidding around. A tough guy, with a BIG heart. What his brother said is so true, he was the BEST at everything. He even had the best handwriting. I still have the letter he sent me after he got home from ITR. He was warning me not to go out and get too drunk, and mess things up with my girlfriend. Andy went to Nam ahead of me. When I got there,I was put in 3/4 Lima CO.Same outfit he was in. When I found out he had just been killed, I was totally shocked. I'm going to go to his grave site now, and pay my respects to a great, great guy. Semper Fi
