to the Crocker family

i lived during these days and was prepared to go if my time came but it was over before i graduated from high school. i appreciate you presenting your story for the Burns and Novak documentary as hard as it must have been ,i'm a father who lost 2 of his children also but under very different circumstances so i have a idea of your pain and feeling of loss .I've spent countless hours going to this site and others to get a sense of who the 58,000 plus americans were who paid the highest price to try and give a people who for the most part did not have the good sense to understand what they could have but were to corrupt and short sighted to try and achieve it. What i've learned is that they were people who deserved a much different fate than the one that awaited them in south vietnam .Thank you for raising a son who exibited the truest meaning of the concept of sacrifice of ones self for others , i come from a small town in missouri that had several young men who also made that sacrifice ,some i knew or worked with their fathers at the local factory in my youth. Again thank you and God bless you and your sons memory.
