Flight School Buddy
Jimmy and my wife at the time, and I were good friends while with the ORWAC 68-02b2 flight school class. As I remember we hooked up in the second part of the school at Hunter AAF in June 1968. We got our wings in Sept. 1968 while Jimmy shipped to Vietnam. I lucked out and was sent to Ft. Eustis to become a maintenance officer. I was ticked at the time, but it probably saved my butt in the long run. I lost touch with Jimmy after that and do not know if he married before going to Nam or not. I read about his death in the Army Times in June of 1969 while there with the 101st Airborne Div. at Phu Bai.
Jimmy was a super nice guy and is missed, we were all so young back then.

Not forgotten
Jimmy, Although we never met, I just want you to know you are not forgotten. You gave the ultimate sacrifice, your life for what you believed in. Sleep well my friend, and thank you for protecting our freedoms.
