NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die

Gratitude

I have known of your importance to my brother since March of 1968-His letters spoke of how pleased
he was of being in your squad. You were his teacher-the invaluable lessons from you of how best to
survive in a war with no fronts-against opponents rarely seen yet always keeping your squad ready to
respond quickly and effectively with the safety of your guys always in the forefront.Bob always spoke
of how decisively and Bravely you reacted in combat situations always leading by your rapid responses.
For the past 17 years my family and I have journeyed to the Vietnam Memorial in gratitude to all our
Brothers who made the ultimate sacrifice - I have and will always have special feelings for you brother,
You were there for Bob!!!! Myfamily an I are etenally grateful.WE WILL NEVER FORGET.
