Remembering You as a Child

I was about 6 years younger than you but I remember you as a favorite cousin. When I was very little and in a bad mood, you teased me by holding me in your arms and kissing me over and over which made me laugh. You showed Ray and me how to play stick ball in the street in front of your house. You gave us your model cars when your collection got too big. You shared your Pepsi with peanuts. You gave us comic books. When you were older I found your copy of, "30 Day Leave." You never found out.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear CPL Peter Brown Cook Jr, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Remember

Pete was my cousin. He was a basketball player and a track star. Most of all he was a fine young man. So young and really never got to be what he could. Still miss you, I guess I always will.

Thank You

For a high school history project we are to write remembrances for the soldiers at this wall who have none. You are one of the soldiers that I chose. I thank you for laying down your life for your country. I thank your family for giving you up for the cause of freedom. You will never be forgotten. Bethany Witzig
