Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Today is your birthday! Happy birthday. It is 2018, Happy New Year. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Remembered more than you'll know

We never had the chance to meet in person.....you were taken from this family long before I was born. Even to this day, it seems hard for anyone to speak of you without seeing the pain of loosing you in their eyes. I have always seen it in my dad. He misses you. Very much.
Uncle Del, know that you will always have someone who remembers your name, and remembers what you gave to this Country and to this family. You did right by our family, your brother has done right by this family and I continue to try and live up to the legacy you and my father have built. I also am raising my boy to do the same.
So look in on us from time to time, let us know if we are doing a good job or not. Ill listen extra closely for you.....

Take care of yourself, and God willing, we will see each other someday.

All gave Some, Some gave ALL.... Thank you and God Bless.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SSGT Delfin Hilario Cook, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
